SANTORINI VOLCANO LAVA

Lava which cooled slowly, in Aghios Nikolaos bay (Palea Kameni). The red colour is a coat of rust (iron oxides) from the hydrothermal solutions, gas bubbles carried along with the hot currents can seen in the water.
