Santorini is famous for its beaches but not because they are long, sandy and gold as they are in the other Greek islands but because they are unique due to their black sand and pebbles, a result of the volcano's existence on the island. Some of the Santorini's best beaches are in Kamari, Perissa, Perivolos, Monolithos, Armeni and Amoudi along with the white and red beaches which are accessible by boat.
