Antoniou Winery

The jeweler Kostas Antoniou decided to found the Antoniou winery in 1992. It opened in 2001 at Megalochori, on top of the caldera. They cultivate 30 hectares of vine. His wines are produced in the local Union with the help of the enologist Dimitris Hatzinikolaou and start with the basic VQPRD Santorini and Santorini Barrel, which "imitates" the Nychteri wine. However, it is the Vinsanto wine that is considered to be the best one of the Antoniou winery.

Antoniou Santorini

Santorini: VQPRD dry white wine from 80% Assyrtiko, 15% Aidani and 5% Athiri. Complex, stable, spicy wine. It is served at 9-10 C and accompanies fish.

Antoniou Santorini Barrel

Santorini Barrel: VQPRD dry white wine from 80% Assyrtiko, 15% Aidani and 5% Athiri that is fermented in new oaken barrels. It is served at 9-10 C and accompanies seafood.

Antoniou Red

Red: Red dry table wine from 100% Mandilaria that is served in room temperature and accompanies meat.

Antoniou Vinsanto

Vinsanto: VQPRD sweet wine from sun dried grapes from the Athiri and Aidani varieties that ages in oak barrels. It is served as aperitif, at 5 C.
