The Gaia winery was founded in 1994 by Yannis Paraskevopoulos and Leon Karatsalos. At the beginning, they used the installations of Argyros winery and they produced the dense, metallic Thalassitis wine, which became one of the most famous labels in Greece and improves year by year.

In 2001, the Gaia winery was transferred to its own installations at Exo Vrahies, between Kamari and Monolithos. It is housed in a renovated stone-built factory and is equipped with the most recent technology in order to get the best results out of the Assyrtiko variety. They cultivate 55 hectares of vine. They also produce a traditional type of vinegar, the Assyrtiko Gaia vinegar.


Thalassitis/Thalassitis Oak Fermented

Thalassitis/Thalassitis Oak Fermented: VQPRD dry white wine from 100% Assyrtiko that is served at 8-10 C and accompanies fish, seafood and fatty dishes. The second one is left to mature 4 months in a cask and is served at 10-12 C.
