You are transferred by our buses at 6:00 to Athinios port. The Blue Star Ferry departs at 7:00 and we will reach Naxos Island at 9:15. There are two major attractions that make the capital of Naxos the most interesting among other capitals in the Cyclades and these are Portara Temple and the Castle. Our experienced escort will first take you to marble Portara, a big and impressive gate of a temple dedicated to god Apollo, built during the 6th century BC, situated in the entrance of the port. The Castle is within a few steps from Portara. There are many shops in the castle area selling jewellery and local products as well as traditional tavernas and small bar-cafes. The Archaeological Museum is also located there, the exhibits of ancient Cycladic art will amaze you. The closest and nicest beach is Agios Georgios where you will have enough time for a swim and lunch in one of the traditional tavernas. We will return at the port for coffee or for shopping or even a walk by the port. At 22:30 the boat will depart for Santorini. At Athinios port our buses will wait to take you back.
